Density
Hair density refers to how full your hair is. To determine density part a section of your hair and hold it to the side. If your scalp is hardly visible between the strands in the section then you have thick density. If your scalp is visible then you have thin density and anything in between is medium density.
Elasticity
Hair elasticity can be measured by taking a single strand of hair and stretching it to its breaking point. If the strand breaks immediately then your hair elasticity is low. If you're able to stretch the strand then elasticity is high. Hair elasticity can be improved with the proper care.
Porosity
Knowing your porosity is very important because it refers to your hairs ability to absorb moisture and product.
Low porosity hair doesn't absorb moisture easily because the hair's cuticles are tightly bound. The best way to moisturize it is to use lightweight products and apply heat using a cap, hooded dryer or even steam.
Normal / Medium porosity hair cuticles are slightly raised allowing it to absorb and retain moisture well.
High porosity hair cuticles are widely raised so it both absorbs and releases moisture very easily. The best way to moisturize it is to

Here are 5 reasons why its so important
1. The brand cares.
It's important to support brands that have your best interest in mind. Most natural self care/ skin care brands produce in small batches which means we know exactly what goes into each formulation. Small scale businesses like us can't afford even one unhappy customer so we put in the time and effort to ensure we deliver the best quality product.
2. All natural products work better.
Natural ingredients have been used for centuries in ancient remedies that have been known to breed amazing results for skin. They've stood the test of time and proven they work without any unwanted side effects unlike some new age skin care products.
3. Natural products are safe and non irritating.
If you can't eat it you shouldn't put it on your body! Skin is very absorbent so being conscious of the ingredients in your products is crucial. Natural ingredients don't contain any harsh chemicals which often cause irritation and as stated previously they proven not to have any negative side effects.
4. Naturally sourced ingredients are better for the environment.
Natural ingredients are much better for the environment because sourcing then doesn't cause and damage or produce any pollution unlike chemical based products. You can enjoy natural product guilt free!
5. Buying quality all natural products helps you save money in the long run.
Natural products help you save money over time because the high quality ingredients allow you to use less product . In turn the product lasts longer and you don't have to buy it as often.
